Phoenix are currently working with a leading London M&A advisory firm who are seeking a Valuation & Financial Modelling Manager to join their growing business. This newly created role will be part of the mangement team of the firm and they are seeking someone who is able to lead a team and execute projects to a high standard. You will be targeted with growing and developing their London team and will be responsible for delivering high quality work to their client base

Responsibilities (subject to level) include:

  • Plan and execute complex financial modelling assignments.

  • Research of market data to inform valuation opinions based on best available data and most relevant valuation methodology.

  • Lead the coaching, development and reviewing of work by junior valuation and financial modelling staff.

  • Develop and execute high standards for deliverables – meeting and exceeding best practice and client requirements.

  • Manage engagements effectively including resource planning, budget monitoring and variance reporting.

Typical experience, skills and qualifications of members of unit:

  • Qualified accountant – ACA/ACCA with strong academic background

  • Financial Modelling experience preferred; Experience in Corporate Finance desirable

  • Excellent skills in Excel & Word

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral

  • Ability and confidence to deal with senior decision-makers with strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability

  • Ability to work in a team environment and on their own initiative

  • Ambitious and proactive individual with drive and enthusiasm fundamental

  • Lateral thinker with the ability to multi-task
