Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review and negotiate relevant agreements and ancillary legal and regulatory documentation across the organisation's service offering

  • Advise on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues with an emphasis on tailored, commercial solutions

  • Stay abreast of all relevant legal, regulatory and governance issues. Ensure these are reflected in the organisation's documentation and client advice/solutions

  • Liaise with colleagues (legal and non-legal) across departments and jurisdictions (as appropriate) establishing productive working relationships

  • Liaise with the Central Bank and other relevant regulatory bodies as required

  • Assist and mentor junior team members as appropriate

  • Assist in pitching for, and winning new business as appropriate.

  • Attend relevant industry events as required

  • Assist on ad hoc projects as required 

The Candidate:

  • Qualified  Funds Lawyer- 2+ years' PQE 

  • Experience advising on Funds-related issues in a top tier law firm and/or in-house

  • Excellent technical skills with an in-depth knowledge of the Irish and European Funds legal and regulatory landscape 

  • Proven experience advising a varied portfolio of asset management industry clients in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills  

  • Proven end-to-end client relationship management skills

  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills 

  • Very strong communication skills - both verbal and written 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Strong team player but also works well on own initiative 

  • Motivated, commercial, positive and personable
