My Client:

A globally renowned investment manager.

The Opportunity:

A unique Head of Legal legal opportunity, joining a global team, and reporting into the General Counsel.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Advise the relevant business entities on legal and regulatory issues.

  • Address all relevant legal and regulatory issues impacting the business, its products and services and authorization advising the business and senior management and liaising with relevant stakeholders as appropriate.

  • Liaise with the Central Bank as required and build, maintain and develop that relationship. Respond to and manage any queries or requests raised.`

  • Work with colleagues, legal and otherwise, across the wider business to promote and develop the business as required.

  • Review, draft and negotiate relevant material contacts.

  • Devise and implement relevant legal and regulatory policies updating the business as appropriate.

  • Advise on relevant registration, licensing and distribution issues as required.

  • Liaise with and act as point for relevant external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, external auditors, external tax advisors etc

  • Supervise and manage team members.

  • Ad hoc projects as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 10 years' relevant investment funds experience.

  • Top Tier training/experience

  • Excellent technical knowledge of the investment funds legal and regulatory landscape.

  • Proven knowledge of the Central Bank regime/guidance and an ability to build relationships with the Bank.

  • Excellent communication skills with experience updating and advising at senior management level.

  • Proven ability to build relationships both internally (legal and cross-functionally) and with external stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Proven ability to successfully prioritise in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Commercial, solutions-focused and adaptable
