Our client is a market leader in wealth management and capital markets in Ireland with over 700 people and offices in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Belfast, London and Luxembourg and the United States. This opportunity is best suited to an ambitious, highly experienced professional who has a strong track record in improving processes and overall finance divisions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Group Financial Controller will have direct accountability for the financial accounting and reporting, tax, budgeting and regulatory reporting areas

  • As well as the above he/she will have responsibility of all aspects of the financial and management accounting reporting, procurement, enterprise data management and regulatory reporting for the group.

  • Leadership of a large finance function with a number of ongoing transformation and process improvement projects

  • Statutory Reporting – Overseeing the production of consolidated financial statements under IFRS; managing all aspects of revenue recognition and technical accounting implications within the Group

  • In addition, they will have accountability for specific strategic development and project activities within the department/group and drive the delivery of finance transformation projects.

  • They will play a key role in the development of financial structures to be put in place to monitor regulatory capital requirements, business case investment opportunities and contribute to the growth of the overall group

The ideal candidate:

  • ACA/FCA or ACCA qualification with strong technical ability in highly regulated environments

  • Minimum 8 years working in a fast paced company with large finance function

  • Exposure to IFRS, AIFMD and CRD IV desirable

  • Demonstrable track record of implementing change through technology to achieve continuous service improvement and the future shape and capability of finance functions.

  • Ability to lead, develop and build a high performing team
